Description

urZONE Mirror Free: A WordPress Website Mirror Plugin

Bring another website into your WordPress page with urZONE Mirror Free. Display an external website—or a page from your own site—inside an interactive, framed window that visitors can use without leaving the surrounding page.

Visitors can follow links and complete forms inside the mirror. Whether you are displaying a community page, a network subsite, or another web destination, the Free edition gives you a straightforward way to get started.

Create Mirror Windows with Simple Shortcodes

You do not need to write code to create your first mirror window. Open the urZONE Mirror menu in your WordPress dashboard, enter the destination address, and generate a shortcode.

  • Create and save shortcodes from the plugin’s admin screen.
  • Add a title to identify each mirror window.
  • Set the window height to suit your page layout.
  • Copy saved shortcodes and place them on your WordPress pages.

The Free edition supports both the [urzone_clone] and [urzone_mirror] shortcode names.

Built-In Window Controls

Each mirror includes a window bar with controls that let visitors manage their view.

  • Reload the mirrored page.
  • Open the destination in a new browser tab.
  • Minimize the mirror window.
  • Switch to full-screen viewing.

Mirror External Pages or Your Own Content

Use urZONE Mirror Free to display another website or bring a page from your own site into a framed window. The plugin also supports IP-and-port destinations and WordPress multisite subsite URLs.

For an IP address and port, include the protocol in the destination address. For example: http://192.168.1.10:8080.

Example Free Shortcode

[urzone_clone url="https://example.com" title="Portal" height="640"]

This example displays the destination in a mirror window titled “Portal” with a height of 640 pixels.

Get Started in a Few Steps

  1. Install and activate urZONE Mirror Free.
  2. Open the urZONE Mirror menu in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Enter the website or page address you want to display.
  4. Add a window title and set the height as needed.
  5. Select Generate & Save, then copy the shortcode.
  6. Paste the shortcode onto a WordPress page and publish or update it.

Mirror windows appear only on pages where you place a shortcode. Activating the plugin does not automatically add windows to your site.

Free Essentials, with an Optional Pro Upgrade

The Free edition includes the essentials for creating and displaying mirror windows: saved shortcodes, title and height settings, and built-in window controls.

For additional customization and functionality, urZONE Mirror Pro adds custom colors and fonts, a hover mega menu, headers and footers, file uploads inside the mirror, and control over whether windows start open or closed.

Free and Pro can run alongside each other. They use separate shortcode names and save their data independently, so you can keep existing Free windows while setting up Pro windows.

Before You Begin

  • Only site administrators can create or delete saved shortcodes.
  • Keep the Free plugin active while your pages use its shortcodes.
  • Take a backup before changing plugins on a live website.

Start with urZONE Mirror Free to add interactive mirror windows to your WordPress pages using a simple shortcode-based workflow.
